This reading list draws together resources that we think will be helpful if you are a non-statistician working on a trial with an interest in statistical issues. It is not an exhaustive list but rather a recommended package of resources.

Aim/Learning Objective

To provide an introduction to the principles and application of statistics in the randomised controlled trial (RCT) setting and to enable an understanding of statistical methods and analyses in RCTs.

Target audience

Non-statisticians who have an interest in statistical issues.

Structure and Duration

The resources can be read or watched in any order. Estimated length of time to complete: 3 hours.

Certification

A certificate will be issued on successful completion of each module and quiz (minimum 80%). It is not compulsory to take the quiz; this is only if certification is desired. There is no limit to the number of times a quiz can be taken.

You will need to answer some brief feedback questions to help us improve our Essential Reading Lists in order to access the quiz.
